The NAB officials said that Dr Asim will be formally arrested after the police's report

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The police on Thursday termed Dr Asim Hussain innocent in their investigation report, Dunya News reported.
Reportedly, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) will be informed regarding removing anti-terrorism charges by the police through a letter. The NAB officials said that Dr Asim will be formally arrested after the police’s report.
The police have finalized their investigation report on the former federal minister. In the report, the police have removed the anti-terrorism sections from the case. The sources said that police have claimed to have found no evidence that links Dr Asim with terrorism.
The police officials said that NAB will be informed about dropping of the anti-terrorism charges through a letter whereas the investigation report is due to be presented in the court on Friday.
Meanwhile, the NAB officials said that Dr Asim will be formally arrested after the letter from the police is received. Afterwards, the investigation process will be taken over by the NAB officials
